Dishwashers Maintenance

Regular maintenance tasks to keep your dishwashers running efficiently.

Clean the door gasket

Wipe the rubber door seal with a damp cloth and mild cleaner, paying attention to the folds where grime and mold accumulate. Check for cracks or damage that could cause leaks.

Clean the filter

Remove the bottom rack and twist out the cylindrical filter. Rinse under warm water, scrubbing gently with a soft brush to remove food particles and grease buildup. A clogged filter reduces cleaning performance and causes odors.

Inspect and clean spray arms

Remove the upper and lower spray arms by twisting or unclipping them. Check each nozzle hole for clogs from food debris or mineral deposits. Use a toothpick to clear blocked holes, then rinse under running water.

Run a cleaning cycle

Place a dishwasher-safe cup of white vinegar on the top rack and run a hot water cycle empty. This dissolves grease, removes odors, and breaks down mineral buildup from the interior walls and spray arms.
