DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras Maintenance

Regular maintenance tasks to keep your dslr & mirrorless cameras running efficiently.

Check battery health and firmware

Cycle camera batteries fully every 2-3 months if not in regular use. Update firmware when available for autofocus improvements and bug fixes. Clean battery contacts with a dry cloth if you notice power issues.

Clean sensor and mirror box

Use a sensor cleaning kit with sensor swabs every 3-6 months, or whenever dust spots appear in images at small apertures (f/16+). Use a rocket blower first to remove loose particles before wet cleaning.

Sensor Cleaning

Dust on the sensor creates permanent spots on every photo. Periodic wet cleaning restores image clarity.

Update Firmware

Manufacturer updates improve autofocus performance and fix bugs.
