Check door alignment and adjust hinges every 6 months. Soft-close hinges need periodic cleaning to function properly. Tighten any loose hinge screws before they strip the wood.

Clean and organize interior
Remove contents quarterly, vacuum the interior, and wipe shelves with a damp cloth. Check for moisture buildup behind stored items, especially near exterior walls.
Condition wood finish annually
Apply wood conditioner or oil to natural wood finishes once a year. Check for scratches and fill with matching wood filler or touch-up marker. Re-apply protective finish to high-wear areas.
Dust and polish monthly
Wipe down with a microfiber cloth and appropriate furniture polish. Pay attention to carved details and hardware where dust accumulates. Avoid spraying directly on wood veneer.
