Error Codes
Broken drive belt, Failed idler pulley, Worn drum rollers, Motor coupling failure
Lint buildup in vent duct, Crushed exhaust hose behind dryer, Birds nest in exterior vent, Vent run too long with too many elbows, Exterior vent flap stuck
Tripped circuit breaker (one leg), Blown thermal fuse, Failed heating element, Clogged exhaust vent, Gas valve solenoid failure
Faulty door switch, Misaligned door latch, Broken door strike, Wiring issue
Dryer sheet residue on sensor bars, Failed moisture sensor, Control board issue, Sensor wiring damage
Clogged lint trap, Crushed or kinked exhaust hose, Blocked exterior vent, Failed cycling thermostat, Vent run too long (over 25 feet)
Troubleshooting
View all →Common Failure Modes
Most failures are mechanical: snapped drive belts, worn drum rollers, or burned-out heating elements. Restricted airflow from clogged vents is the number one cause of thermal fuse and element failure.
Maintenance
View all →Clean dryer vent duct
Disconnect the dryer vent hose from the back of the machine and use a vent brush or vacuum to remove lint buildup from the entire duct run. Lint accumulation in the vent is the leading cause of dryer fires and significantly reduces drying efficiency.
Clean lint trap after every load
Remove lint from the trap after each dryer cycle to maintain proper airflow and prevent fire hazards. A clogged lint trap forces the dryer to work harder, increasing energy use and drying time.
