Adjust Tension
Gas springs lose pressure or settle. Re-adjusting tension keeps the monitor floating at the right height.
Regular maintenance tasks to keep your monitor mounts & stands running efficiently.

Inspect all mounting hardware quarterly, especially if the mount supports heavy monitors (27+). Tighten any loosening bolts. Wall mounts: verify the toggle bolts or lag screws are secure.
Apply a drop of machine oil to pivot joints every 6 months if the arm feels stiff or squeaks. Over-tightened joints can crack plastic washers. Adjust tension screws to maintain monitor position without sagging.
Re-route cables through the arm cable management channel every time you adjust or add devices. Loose cables catch on the arm mechanism and can pull connections loose or strain ports.
